Wetsus Congress 2011: registration this week
This is the last week you can register for the Wetsus Congress, on October 3 and 4, 2011.
Cooperation in innovation, a global requirement?, is the theme of the first day of the Wetsus Congress 2011. Speakers with diverse backgrounds will present their views on this matter. In the afternoon there will be sessions on challenges for the watersector and on talent programs.

International scientific developments in water treatment technology is the focus of the second day of the Congress. The morning program and the afternoon program will both start with an inspiring international speaker. After that, parallel sessions are organized around water science and technology.

Award winner
At the International Congress on Membranes and Membrane Processes, the world's largest conference on fundamental and applied membrane science, engineering and technology, held in Amsterdam, in July 2011, Wetsus PdD student David Vermaas won a student award for his oral presentation. The prize consisted of a certificate and 500 Australian dollars. David Vermaas presented new developments in the energy generation by Reverse Electrodialysis. He showed in this presentation that the power density obtained from mixing seawater and river water can be significantly improved by using profiled membranes and using small intermembrane distances.

The Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in cooperation with Wetsus invites you to join our EMBA Water Specialisation Information Session & Masterclass. This will be held on September 27 at the Van der Valk Hotel Houten, Hoofdveste 25, 3992 DH Houten.
