First Aqua Nirvana Award

At the annual Wetsus WaterCampus Science Fair on June 1, the first Aqua Nirvana Award was presented. The Science Fair is the closing of the annual Honours program:  talented secondary school children get to work on a research project, together with Wetsus researchers. At the fair, their work is presented.

This year, the Aqua Nirvana Award was presented to the best group. The award is established and was presented by the relatives of the late Erik Henriksen, founder of the Aqua Niravana Foundation.  Silke Wolfswinkel, Jorn de Vries andTim Benders presented their project ‘removal of nutrients from wastewater using algae and duckweed’ and were the first winners of the award.
