Biography

My research is in Bioelectrochemistry, where we investigate how electroactive microorganisms interact with electrochemical systems, such as Microbial Fuel Cells and Microbial Electrolysis Cells. My research focusses on the use of granular activated carbon as intermittent charge storage for electrical current generated by the electroactive microorganisms. These properties were used to develop a granular capacitive moving bed bioanode reactor.
