What is our goal?
Our motivation is to investigate what are the effects of using alternative carbon sources as a supplementary to CO2 to boost the (mixo)phototrophic growth of biomass. Microalgae growth is usually limited by light, making production limited to small scales, by diversifying their carbon input we aim to achieve higher productivities and decrease energy losses from light fixation.
Internship:
You will be helping on the growth and maintenance of different microalgal species. Your tasks can be broken down into the following:
