A crucial step in de upscaling of PHBV bioplastic production from sewage sludge and organic waste: PHA2USE.

Five Dutch water authorities, Paques, waste handling company HVC and STOWA have signed a cooperation agreement to build a larger scale production unit that will produce larger batches of PHBV material. These batches are crucial for product development and therefore further commercialisation of this concept.

With support of thorough R&D work by Wetsus (Alan Werker) and TU Delft (Mark van Loosdrecht and Robbert Kleerebezem).
