Water distribution networks (WDNs) provide drinking water all around the world. Although some countries like the Netherlands lose only 2% of their drinking water, other countries lose up to 45% because of leakages or unknown sources. To solve this problem, certain challenges must be addressed such unknown network structures, undetectable leakages and locating leakages. While in academia, many theories offer potential solutions, my project aims to connect and adapt these theoretical approaches to solve these challenges for WDNs.
