the road to
circular sewage treatment in 2050
What would a futuristic wastewater treatment plant look like? Fully circular by 2050 according to Dutch goals. What can we learn from current pilots and demonstrations? In this session, we get to know how the Danes plan to build the world’s most resource efficient treatment plant. But, perhaps we should rethink biological wastewater treatment in favor of a physical chemical approach. And how can we create synergies between recovery of multiple resources? We invite you to bring ideas and predict a desired future in a panel discussion.
- Aarhus ReWater Project: Planning and design approach for a resource efficient wastewater treatment plant in Aarhus, Denmark – Per Overgaard Pedersen, Aarhus Vand
- The future of wastewater treatment: from less negative to positive – dr. Sjoerd Kerstens, Royal HaskoningDHV
- Integrated resource recovery from aerobic granular sludge plants – Nouran Bahgat MSc, Wetsus
- Panel discussion: circular sewage treatment, do we know where to go and how to get there? With contributions by Mariska Ronteltap of Hoogheemraadschap Delftland and Jan Pereboom of Hoogheemraadschap Rijnland and the speakers in this session.
