Lakes worldwide are accidentally fed nutrients, mainly phosphorus – a joy to algae, but it is the kickstart for a down-spiraling cascade of pollution. Learn in this session how eutrophication like this can cause a stir in greenhouse gas emissions, how we could kill the cause, and regain material to close the loop of the phosphorus cycle in is lakes.

An interactive panel discussion with experts representing academia, waterboards and technology providers. The main question will be: how can Science & Technology contribute to a better implementation of the Water Framework Directive?
